Real Madrid’s striker Cristiano Ronaldo has taken advantage of his enforced break, after being sent off against Córdoba, to undergo a medical revision.
The player headed to the Sanitas-La Moraleja clinic after training normally this morning. He arrived at 1pm and underwent two hours of tests. One of the main focuses of the doctors was the player’s left knee, which club medics continue to monitor after the trouble the joint caused the player at the end of last season. Neither the club nor the player released a statement on the outcome of the tests.
Cristiano finds out tomorrow how long a ban he will receive tomorrow for kicking Córdoba player Edimar, when the Disciplinary Committee meets. The suspension is expected to be at least two matches, meaning he will miss the games against Real Sociedad and Sevilla. This will give him time to work on getting into top form for the rest of the season.
