Martínez Valero will be the venue for Saturday’s La Liga clash between Elche and Barcelona. The Franjiverde fans are waiting with anticipation for the occasion, with the club expecting a sell-out crowd and 600,000 euros generated through ticket sales, a welcome amount for a club crippled by debt.
The Elche season ticket holders, who have their seats reserved until 21:00 hours tomorrow (Friday), have to pass through the turnstiles. Prices for club members will range from 15 to 40 euros. The general public can expect to pay between 50 and 95 euros, with all of the tickets issued sold out.
Last year, also against Los Culés, Elche generated 900,000 euros. On that occasion, the ticket prices for both season ticket holders and the general public had been pushed up with no offer similar to the one for Saturday’s clash. Attendance in the Martínez Valero reached 33,000; this year it could rise to 36,000, which will see the stadium filled to the rafters.
