Arjen Robben is happy at Bayern Munich and says that his decision to leave Real Madrid in 2009, when Kaká and Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at the Bernabéu, was the correct one: “I arrived at Bayern at 25 years of age from Real Madrid. It was the best decision of my career,” the Netherlands international said in quotes picked up by goal.com.
The 30-year-old forward has added a plethora of titles to his name in the five seasons has played at the Bavarian giants; three Bundesligas, three German Cups, two German Supercups, a Champions League and a European Supercup. “This is a great era, we have won a lot of trophies in the past few years and I am very proud to have achieved all of this with this club,” Robben said.
Robben added his idol when he was a young hopeful was Romario, during the Brazilian’s time at PSV Eindhoven. The player is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2017. And then? “I am not very sure what will happen in the future. When I retire from football, maybe I’ll become a coach or maybe I’ll do something completely different to this. But at the moment, all I want to do is to continue playing football.”
