Valencia CF has expressed its support for a four-year-old girl who suffers from a heart condition and who needs to travel to the United States for surgery. A few weeks ago tha parents of Nayra launched a campaign (#unlatidopornayra) "a beat for Nayra" to raise the 700,000 euros needed to fund the operation. Valencia's players invited Nayra to Friday's training session and played football with her and posed for a team photograph with Nayra. Both the club and the players have made donations to the cause.
Nicolás Otamendi was absent from the session and will be unavailable for the match against Almería this weekend. The Argentinean defender sustained an ankle injury in the game against Espanyol.
