Bartomeu: "It's not a negative result, it was important to win"

The game: “We played a great game. The fans have seen a team that were playing and winning, showcasing their good football. The result is deserved but it leaves the return leg open.”

The penalty miss: “It is not a negative result. It is always important to win. We played against City, one of the best teams in Europe. We are in three competitions and we gave a good impression. For this I’m happy. If we miss a goal it doesn’t matter. We will have to fight and win to progress to the quarter-finals.”

The league: “The league this year will be very long. El Clásico comes very soon but the competition won’t be decided by this game. The important thing is to still be involved in three competitions. It is what the members want.”
