Luis Suárez bagged the first brace of his Barça career this evening at the Etihad Stadium. The Uruguayan handed Luis Enrique’s side a two-goal lead in the first leg tie against Manchester City in what’s turning out to be a productive month for him.
Suárez’s figures have improved drastically in just a matter of weeks. He has found the net four times – against Levante, Athletic Club and Manchester City, and set up another two for his team mates in the meetings with Villarreal in league and Cup.
The last time he found the net twice in a game was for Uruguay against England at World Cup Brazil 2014 – five days before the clash with Italy during which he was served a four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini.
