Luis Enrique equals Guardiola's best winning run as Barça coach

Since the defeat in Anoeta, Luis Enrique’s Barcelona have been on a notable winning run. With this afternoon’s 5-0 thrashing of Levante in the Camp Nou the Catalan side have now won 11 games on the trot, equalling Pep Guardiola’s best streak, which he recorded in 2008-2009, while winning the treble.

Guardiola’s run came after slip-ups against Numancia and Racing Santander but the team recovered and went on to win the Liga, Copa and Champions League.

Frank Rijkaard's impressive run is still a little way off for Enrique though. In 2005-06 the Dutch coach led Barça to 18 straight victories and Champions League glory.
