The Osasuna Case as an end to the match-fixing

There are some gentleman from Osasuna who are in jail, or have passed through it until posting bail, or at the very least have suffered the ominous police station process to testify about something shameful. A Navarrese friend told me: “They have not done anything that has not been done by many others.” And it’s true. But they have done it, and that is the cause of what is happening to them, which is what is happening to them. And they have done it after sports fraud was included in the Penal Code, a happy initiative that was brought forward in his day by Jaime Lissavetzky and now concludes with Tebas, well supported by Cardenal. Matches have always been rigged (not very many, let’s say a good five percent, in my estimation as a rough guess) and such a thing was looked at fatalistically, as something inevitable. In summer it’s hot, in autumn it rains, in winter it’s cold and in spring matches are rigged on the border of promotions and relegations. Certainly, with Villar, a footballer at the end of the day, we never saw him altered like so. Okay, well now it finishes, because there is an instrument and Tebas utilises it. Better for football.
