"I haven’t seen much of Danilo; he’ll be welcomed on board"

Dani Carvajal admits that he hasn’t seen much of new Madrid recruit Danilo in action but says that competing for a place in the side with the top players in the world is part and parcel of the job at Real Madrid.

Hard-fought win: “The important thing was taking all three points and with it being an away win, it was even more important”.

Penalty shout: “I thought it was a penalty; the referee’s made a mistake but there’s no point moping about it”.

What did Ancelotti have to say at half-time? “He told us that we had to put more pressure on Rayo because we were making it too easy for them to enter into our half. I thought we improved in the second half".

Casillas’ performance: “He had a brilliant game, making a few decisive saves. I haven’t asked him whether he will be continuing with us but Real Madrid is his home”.

Danilo signed: “I haven’t seen much of him playing; when he arrives we will give him a warm welcome. I know that at a club like Real Madrid, you have to compete with the best and that is an extra motivation for me. Arbeloa and myself fit in well; we’ll see how it all works out next season”.
