Villar meets Bartomeu for lunch at the Camp Nou

Catalunya Radio have reported on that Ángel María Villar, the president of the Spanish Football Federation (FEF), met for lunch with Barcelona president Josep María Bartomeu on Tuesday.

The report suggests the lunch was part of a courtesy visit by the FEF president and it was a coincidence that it fell just after the Catalan Football Federation announced the suspension of a number of matches this weekend. According to the station, Villar spoke about the situation regarding young players at the club. Bartomeu announced a break in relations with FIFA after the transfer punishment was ratified. Ironically, Villar is in charge of that body that Blatter’s FIFA presides over.

The Barça president also spoke about the “political factor” surrounding Barcelona and the Neymar case. Regarding the case, the FEF have also showcased their disagreements with the government.
