Alcácer and Negredo look to recover in time for local derby

Valencia’s technical team are using a special training programme to ensure Paco Alcácer and Álvaro Negredo are fit lead the line against local rivals Villarreal a week on Sunday (17:00 CET). After reaching an agreement with Spain coach Vicente del Bosque, both were relieved from international duty to focus on their fitness.

Negredo has been working on recovering from his exertions in last week’s 4-0 win against Elche in matchday 28 of La Liga.
