Leo Messi is working with the rest of his Barcelona team-mates with apparent normality. The forward missed two of Argentina’s recent matches due to a problem with his right foot; he barely trained during his time on international duty too. On Thursday he emerged on the training field to carry out some running exercises, but he did so in trainers. Today (Friday) it seems as though he has recovered and he could feature against Celta Vigo on Sunday night.
In addition, Messi’s Argentine compatriot Mascherano and Spain internationals Andrés Iniesta, Gerard Piqué, Pedro and Busquets also took part in training. Coach Luis Enrique, who is mindful of Messi’s development, also included youngster Munir El Haddadi in the session.
